Tried different batteries and used the battery in the spare thermometer which worked fine. Battery voltage in excess if 1.6V so not the battery. Very disappointing as it has been a good thermometer. I have tried many different makes over the years but rarely get more than 12 months out of any. For the price it has been worth every penny.
