I do not leave many reviews but i had to for this. You get what you pay for. First off it is like a solid block and you have to scrape it with a metal garden shovel to break it up. There are pieces of black plastic throughout. When you use it, this stuff is worthless. It clouds the water, it does not dissolve, it leaves little white particles floating on the surface of the pool and most of it sinks to the bottom, which in turn clogs up the filter. The worst part is it does not work!!! I used 3 times the recommended amount and the chlorine test still showed under 1 PPM. I do not know what is in this but it does not do anything. Water stays green tint until I use a different product. A one pound bag of shock of a different brand or a jug of liquid chlorine does way more than 6 pounds of this stuff. I have never felt more ripped off by any item i have bought.
