But when Yeti decided to discontinue the Nordic Purple and the price dropped I decided to finally jump on it. These are my first Yeti coolers. They are superior quality compared to the hydro flask. I just received the hopper 8 today. I put the newer version of the Hydro Flask ice which is thicker and slightly larger than the older version. It fit like a glove. It can hold 8 cans of 12 oz Pepsi. I put the older hydro flask ice on top and there wasn’t any issues zipping it closed. I bought the Hopper 12 @ Dicks Sporting Goods a little over a week ago. It held ice for 3 days in my car in the Az heat. Impressed. Why didn’t I get this sooner. It’s still pricey but IMO totally worth the price.
