I purchase these every year for Senior night for the team I coach. They are perfect! They have fit size XS-4X adults. For the smaller adults we have fashioned it to look nice by tucking and pinning the "crossed" section at the waist. We also pin it to their uniform at the shoulder because they are performing in it. (to keep it in place). But if you are just wearing it to an event you probably don't need to pin it at the shoulder. It is one continuous loop. **Q: Is it sewn together at the bottom or does it need to be pinned?** A: Yes, it is very artfully sewn, and they look very well.We wear them for a Latin-jazz/bossa nova musical quartet, with the sash as shown over the right shoulder of the lead female vocalist.For contrast, the other 3 male musician instrumentalist/vocalists wear these sashes over the opposite shoulders.It is very easy to wear these red satin sashes over either shoulder, and they can be very readily switched. **Q: How do I add text to this item? It should say "Mayor"** A: I cut the text out with a cutter (cricut) and used HTV (heat transfer vinyl). Then I pressed it on with a heat press. (you can also use an iron).
