A quick explanation to help those not of a technical nature to decide if this is for you is this, the standard aerial has a gain in the order of 2dBi, the difference between the two (3dBi) represents an increase in radiated power of 100%, in other words this aerial radiates approx twice as much power as the standard aerial. My camera was losing my WiFi connection occasionally due to the distance between it and my router before I fitted this aerial but it hasn't done so once since. Review: Works but doesn't really inrease the range - The antenna works but I would be hard pressed to see much improvement over the standard one. I tried to use it with a 720p outdoor camera but found the connection to be unreliable, The distance to the router (BT Hub5) was approx 30 feet. So had to crawl through a narrow roof space to connect via ethernet. As far as I am concerned, it was a waste of money. I had a much stronger TP-Link aerial to hand but the connectors are slightly different sizes (thanks, don't you guys ever make anything simple!!!).
