I'll start by saying that what prompted me to do this was that the case is falling apart and needs replacing. This is not bad for a case of this price, but still it's a shame.In terms of protection, this case scores pretty low. The first problem is the fairly minimal design, meaning the case is only held in place by the four corners. Although initially snug, over time these have got very loose so now the phone simply falls out of the case very easily. The minimal design also means that, even when in the case, the edges of the phone are exposed to scratches etc. Finally, being a flip-case, the front of the phone is only protected while the case is closed, but if you were using the phone, or simply as a result of tumbling through the air, the front can easily open exposing the phone's screen, and there is no protective lip to the backside of the case.In terms of other features, the case rates a little better. I haven't had any problems with the auto wake/sleep when opening/closing the case, and personally I quite like that feature. You can even interact with some features (e.g. the alarm) through the transparent window, although touch sensitivity through the window is pretty poor. The clear back is ok to show of the blue back, but it doesn't look nearly as good as the phone 'naked' and it's also a magnet for dirt. It's also rather slippery - a bit better than the glass of the phone itself but you still need to be careful about where you put your phone if this might be an issue (e.g. in the car).Overall, if you just want something to protect your phone from scratches etc in your pocket, and like the sound of the flip-case features, then this case is probably OK for you. But if you want something which will actually protect your phone if you drop it, or has other useful features, I would look elsewhere. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Bit expensive but we'll worth it in the long run. *by D*** on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2018* Best phone case I have ever owned!I've had this for over a year now and it's stood the test of time. You can tell its an original Huawei product as it integrates perfectly with the phone, both in terms of fit and features.What's great about this case is that when closed you can still answer calls with a swipe across the transparent front and it'll also display the time through there as well. When open it is also opaque enough to conceal whatever you're typing from prying eyes should you need to!As for durability, apart from the colour, the fabric is as good as the day I bought it. I'd expected it to fray and rip, quite a bit of it being fabric, but all that's changed is the colour due to general use of picking up oils from your fingers etc.So all in all, if your considering buying this then just do it. It does not have any magnetic closure it just flaps about but from a user perspective it does what it needs to do really well and simply covers the phone screen for some extra protection.I would say that the leather appears to be real and I would expect to wear slightly longer than those PVC ones.
