It states "Made in France". **Q: Is it normal for the spatula’s blade to burn from cooking dry caramel? Should it be replaced?** A: You can certainly burn or discolor these spatulas. Even so they are my go to daily cooking tool for nearly evry thing except pancakes or eggs. **Q: Question to the manufacturer : can I use this spatula to mix sodium hydroxide and water? I need to mix lye for soap making. Thanks!** A: I believe so, as I have used it in a synthetic Indigo dye bath. It is now the designated spatula for mixing Indigo, and will not be used for food. tho.
