**Q: Oil or wax based?**
A: All pencils are a combination of both wax and oil,  these lean more to the wax side, soft and creamy but with very little wax bloom. HTH Have fun coloring!!!

**Q: Does anyone know if these colors are the same as the colors that come in the 240 set? thanks**
A: Yes, the 120 set is part of the 240

**Q: The darkest red is not very red. My red rose is more of a pink than red. I was hoping for a more saturated or pure red. Any suggestions?**
A: Some of the colours in the bundle seem kind of born but turn red when you color with them. The best thing to do is color the boxes on the sheet that comes with the colored pencils. That way, you can know what color you are choosing, and see it before you choose it. It is really super handy, and the reason I know which color is which in that giant thing od pencil colors.

**Q: Are these colored pencil cruelty free?**
A: I honestly don't know. But, for as long as I have been dealing in colored pencils, I want to say that Amazon doesn't normally deal in or with cruelty. You could probably Google the brand for more details though. I do apologize for not being able to help more.

These are as good as they say, I was pleasantly surprised. They are sturdy and well balanced in your hand, the colour yield is high and the consistency is creamy. For the price especially, this is an amazingly high quality pack as well as a large quantity. Even the pencil sharpener, highlighter pen and blending pencil that come with the set are solid and good quality, nothing flimsy about it. So easy to use, came pre-sharpened and sharpen easily. Despite the high yield they aren't wearing down too quickly either. I loved this so much I've bought another set for a friend's birthday that is coming up soon.
