Cute and soft without losing shape , but the small is just too small , puppy fits but it too skinny , won’t be able to turn around in a few weeks. Review: Solid, Well Made Bag. Perfect for our 6 Pounder. - This is the second bag we've purchased as we literally wore the first one out in 4 years of regular use. We (and more importantly, our pup) LOVE it. The size is perfect for our 6 pound therapy dog. He can stand, lay and turn around inside. The sturdy but fine mesh allows him to see out on all 4 sides. One end opens halfway, the other is a full zip. We use both: the half zip allows him to poke his head out if we're somewhere that he can't be fully out; and the full zip allows the bag to turn into an open kennel where he can hang out or sleep. It's his safe place. There are handy pockets, 3 mesh and one solid, for storing small items like snacks, harness, leash, poop bags etc. The bag is flexible (not rigid) and fits under an airline seat. It has straps that allow it to be secured with a seatbelt when traveling in an auto. The zippers have click locks on them for added security. The pad inside is removable for cleaning. Spot clean the durable outside. The carry strap is sturdy but not quite as padded as I'd like when I carry him on my shoulder. The handles are sturdy. This bag would be great for a cat as well - the mesh is tough! I would NOT recommend this bag for a larger dog. ## Features - Bergan Carrier: Help your pet travel in comfort with the Bergan Comfort Carrier; mesh panels allow for maximum breathability and a washable fleece travel bed offers cushioned support - Pet Carrier Dimensions: The small size of this Bergan cat & dog carrier is 16 x 8 x 11 inches, offering the perfect amount of space for your furry friend - Airline-Friendly Soft Pet Carrier: Take your cat or dog anywhere with this pet travel carrier; it's compatible with many airlines because of its size - Safe Dog & Cat Carrier: The Bergan Comfort Carrier is equipped with a seat belt loop for secure car travel and an adjustable shoulder strap for comfortable carrying - Coastal Pet Cares: We design and deliver quality products that people trust for the pets they love ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00XHFTFPG | | Additional Features | Adjustable | | Best Sellers Rank | #52,457 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #117 in Dog Soft-Sided Carriers | | Brand | Bergan | | Brand Name | Bergan | | Closure Type | Loop | | Color | Heather Berry | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Car | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 768 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00879213009175, 10879213009172 | | Included Components | Carrier | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 11.5"L x 16"W x 8"H | | Item Type Name | Carrier | | Item Weight | 1.57 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Coastal Pet Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | 88917 BEYSML | | Material | Polyester | | Material Type | Polyester | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 1.6 Pounds | | Model Name | 88917-BEYSML | | Model Number | 88917 | | Product Dimensions | 11.5"L x 16"W x 8"H | | Product Style | Safety | | Size | 11.5"L x 16.0"W x 8.0"H | | Special Feature | Adjustable | | Target Audience | Dog | | Target Species | Dog | | UPC | 879213009175 786714605921 | | Unit Count | 1 Piece | | Warranty Description | Quality Guaranteed | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Bergan - **Color:** Heather Berry - **Material:** Polyester - **Product Dimensions:** 11.5"L x 16"W x 8"H - **Special Feature:** Adjustable ## Images ![Coastal Pet Bergan Comfort Carrier - Breathable Travel Carrier for Dogs & Cats - Heather Berry, 16" x 8" x 11" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71UAEQs6bqS.jpg) ![Coastal Pet Bergan Comfort Carrier - Breathable Travel Carrier for Dogs & Cats - Heather Berry, 16" x 8" x 11" - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/719SnlxnbUS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would a 14lb dachshund fit in here (short in height, long length)?** A: there is plenty of room in the carrier, and I do think your dog would fit. Perfect for our 6 Pounder. *by R***Z on March 29, 2019* This is the second bag we've purchased as we literally wore the first one out in 4 years of regular use. Pros Carrier does not collapse or lose its shape even after using almost daily with 11 1/2 lbs dog. It's small enough to pass as a handbag and discreetly enter into places that may not permit my dog. The side window opens so that her head so she can stick her head of the bag providing more ventilation and also creating more space for her body. The taupe color is subtle and allows for more discretion then some of the more vivid colors. This is helpful when you want to bring your dog incognito and also when you want avoid people from requesting to see her while traveling so that she-he may peacefully relax. Cons: I purchased a version of this bag at Home Goods a while back that had a top to bottom mesh hexagon shaped window which I love because it creates more ventilation then the tiny hexagon/side pocket version they sell on amazon. I want the huge window version back!!!!! That little envelope pocket is never used since it is way to narrow. I like the larger mesh version that I purchased at the Home Goods store too as it provides studier, better ventilation. 2 inch longer double straps would allow me to slide more easily up my arm onto my shoulder allowing for more stability then the using the single shoulder strap option. ## Frequently Bought Together - Coastal Pet Bergan Comfort Carrier - Safe, Comfortable Dog & Cat Travel Carrier - Airline Friendly Soft Pet Carrier - Breathable Carrier for Pet Owners - Heather Berry, 16" x 8" x 11" - IRIS USA Large Cat Litter Box with Scatter Shield and Scoop, Open Top High Sided Cat Litter Pan, Black - Purina Fancy Feast Tender Ocean Whitefish, Turkey, Chicken and Salmon Feasts Wet Kitten Food Variety Pack - (Pack of 24) 3 oz.
