looks quite smart and is relatively easy to fit
This seal is certainly very effective, looks quite smart and is relatively easy to fit. The downside is that I carefully followed the instructions ensuring that the seal pressed on the door by about 1 mm. After fitting it was almost impossible to open the door as neither my wife or I could turn the key in the night latch. The pressure generated by that 1 mm push all round was enough to put enough side pressure on the latch it would not slide back to open the door.Fortunately I fitted the strip with the screws in the centre of the provided slots. After loosening the screws and moving the strip back so it was JUST touching the door the latch was still a little tight but at least the key could be turned.Still worth 4 stars as it is about the only means of getting our warped frame to seal against the door, I did not need to plane the door edge to make room for it as it sits on the door face and it is quire smart and looks like it will last well. Also impressed that the white version we bought also came with matching white screws.

Excellent product that does the job perfectly
This is an excellent product. Bought to replace an EPDM draught excluder that was fitted (stuck) to the inside of the door frame. The problem with the strip was that it did not compress quite enough to allow the door to be closed without slamming or pushing REALLY hard. Fitting the Stormguard excluder on the outside solved the problem completely, and there are now no draughts.I bought the white version, which also comes with white screws - a nice touch (note that the rubber is BLACK, no matter what colour the metalwork). You only need a junior hacksaw, a bradawl, a #1 pozi screwdriver and a small file or sandpaper to smooth any cut edges. It took about an hour to fit, most of which was fiddling and shaping the top corners of the metalwork to fit properly. It's adjustable along its whole length (using elongated fixing holes), so you can easily make it fit doors that are not a perfect fit in the frame. This is dead simple to do, but essential for achieving a draught-proof seal.A few people have said that it may be hard to close the door after fitting, but if you can put a tiny smear of clear grease (e.g. silicon) along each edge of the rubber, then it just gives enough slip to close easily, even if it is hard against the door.

Very nice looking once installed
I put this on my garage door frame as draughts were blowing in as the door is warped. Very easy to cut with a Stanley hacksaw and trim the rubber with a knife. The hole positions for the screws are rectangular so there is give when installing. This is very useful to ensure the fit between door and frame is sealed. Comes with an instruction sheet that was useful and easy to read. Once up the white aluminium strips and black trim look great and seal my frame now. Coupled with a silver etrushen keyhole cover and a bottom draught guard.

This is one draught excluder that really works!
For years I have fitted the stick on excluders which work for a while but evntually become squashed and ineffective. In addition, with a badly warped dorr you need to put layer upon layer which in itself is ineffective. Then I found this. Much more expensive but it works so well. Some DIY skills and tools are required but by positioning the screes in the middle of the slot you can adjust the stripsto fit snugly to the door. You can also adjust if they strips are too snug and make it difficult to close the door. All in all, an excellent product which, if fitted properly, will banish all draughts whatever the weather.

Time will tell
Got this only put up yesterday so time will tell if any good . It has dulled road noise but until cold enough I cannot see if stops draught.Shame they don"t do white rubber that would match the door, the width of the fixing plate is smaller than existing one so have to fill the paint work. Seems like a well thought of product.

Does the job magnificently
With the bad weather we have experienced recently it has revealed a few gaps in both front and back doors which were allowing significant draughts and some rain water in too.Fitting these have made a huge difference to the warmth of my house and I no longer have a damp carpet. A little more expensive than lesser trims, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Keep out Draughts
Have been using the P type adhesive rubber strips around front door but noticed that draughts were still able to get through. Decided to try these and straight away no draught. Able to get a nice fit if you take a little time to put a notch in one of the strips at the corner joints.
