Review: Good quality but uncomfortable - I bought the Alesis Nitro max drum kit sold with earphones and throne as a deal. All fine except the jack plug was loose and kept losing connection and sound quality just adequate......so to avoid any more issues I bought Alesis's phones and the difference in sound quality, noise cancelling and comfort is way above the expected for a mid range set. Well worth spending a little extra. Review 2 yrs on 5/26: These are still excellent, noise cancelling and hard wearing and after 2 years are still like new. Only drawback is they are so tight they become really uncomfortable despite the cushioning and even painful after an hour. I've invested in an in-ear set and sad to say will not be using these again.

**Q: Hi! would you recommend these for editing sound? using them as studio monitors for editing and i'm in a noisy environment so i need isolation. thanks!**
A: They would be great for sound isolation. Sometimes when I'm practicing on an acoustic drum kit I have to lift the ear cup up slightly to allow some of the noise in. Great sounding too

**Q: Looking for actual db attenuation measurement. Is that available?**
A: In my experience I'd say it's equivalent to regular hearing protection equipment used when mowing a lawn o operating a grinder, so between 25 & 27 dB would be a reasonable estimate.  If you need something EXACT, contact Alesis directly.

I bought the Alesis Nitro max drum kit sold with earphones and throne as a deal. All fine except the jack plug was loose and kept losing connection and sound quality just adequate......so to avoid any more issues I bought Alesis's phones and the difference in sound quality, noise cancelling and comfort is way above the expected for a mid range set. I bought these headphones to use with my Roland electronic drum kit. The style of the headphones is great, long cable which makes it excellent to use and move around the kit freely. The sound quality is good, not any louder than regular headphones I have used before though. However, it does capture the bass and higher frequencies from the cymbals better. These headphones are quite heavy, and because they are noise cancelling, can hurt your ears after wearing them for a while. Saying that, they stay on well when you are playing!
