We used them to take down an old wood rectangle frame fluorescent tube like from the 20 years ago. We needed something to cover the holes in the ceiling that we couldn't fill to match so they stood out. This made a 4' square section around a new light fixture and we bought Trim to cut and fit around it. It turned out pretty good. These tiles came well packed and we cut minimally on them using plant pruners as someone else advised. After gently cleaning the ceiling with a dry cloth, we glued the pieces and trim up with Loctite Power Grab Heavy Duty glue. Held it in place for a minute or two and it stayed!
