The gabion basket offers an easy way to build a strong retaining wall wherever you need to keep out the wind, precipitation, etc. Made of rustproof and weather-proof galvanized steel, the gabion basket is very stable and durable. The mesh grid is formed by spot welding transverse and longitudinal wires at each and every intersection. With a wire diameter of 0.14", the gabion is very sturdy. The gabion has been designed to be filled with rocks or gravel for quick construction. The top and bottom covers of the gabion keep the contents in place when sealed. You can buy more multiple models to build walls and place them side by side. This gabion is ideal for garden projects and will be a real eye-catcher in your outdoor living space. Review: great product - look great exactly what i needed
Review: Easy to assemble and seems very strong. Looks good filled with logs. - I bought it to fill with logs to make a ‘ bug bench’. It was really easy to put together, although of course I could have done with three hands rather than two! But I managed the spiral ties are really good as long as you get them the right way round they almost take themselves into place. There are three stabilising wires for the inside. I tried to get them near a joint, and they seem to have worked. It is filled with logs and looks good, but it does need a plank of wood or something on the top in order to sit on it, it’s a bit uncomfortable otherwise. I used a sack truck to move the box to where I wanted to build it, but in fact it is not really heavy. I may buy another one as I still have a lot of logs to tidy up! It did need quite a lot to fill it.

**Q: can these be stacked one on top of the other?**
A: Yes they appear to be able to be stacked when
Filled with stone. The mfg claims they are stackable when filled. I did not need to stack mine but would if the situation requires stacking I would stack them.

**Q: This gabion cage get rust?**
A: I have had mine for several years now, and it has not rusted.  I’m very happy with mine.

**Q: Can I load from the top if I set this basket up vertical?**
A: The top as pictured has no closure. If you turn it vertical there’s nothing to hold your rock in. Just order a vertical one.

I bought it to fill with logs to make a ‘ bug bench’. It was really easy to put together, although of course I could have done with three hands rather than two!
