I sized up to the l/xl because I don't like things painfully tight. While they do have stretch to get them on the material is uncomfortably compressive. Felt like my legs were in a vice, not just 'gently hugged'. The first pair of fleece lined tights I tried were also super small so I think that's just how they run. So I don't recommend trying any unless they actually offer more sizes since you're going to have to size up multiple times to have a chance at a correct fit. **Q: How warm are they? Like how many grams are they rates for?** A: They are warm enough. It really depends on your tolerance to cold and how cold it is in your area. If it gets below 20 degrees F, and you will be out for long in the open, you will get cold in like 10-15 mins at most. **Q: is this machine washable?** A: It'll last longer if you hand wash it.
