When installed correctly it will not drain the battery. This does not replace the power magic pro. The new Blackvue models have that built into the dashcam now. They come with the hardwiring cable and the voltage protection is built it. **Q: Will this drain the car battery if left plugged into the (always on) cigarette lighter?** A: I don't understand if it's plugged into the cigarette lighter. While the car is in use It should be fine. But when When the car is not being used, it's powered by the battery. Not the car battery. So Why would it drain your battery? **Q: Will this work with existing b-124x wiring and does it allow for expansion batteries?** A: no it doesnt not accept expansion batteries, look at the picture of the pack and you'll see there are no expansion ports anymore **Q: Can I plug it into my cigarette lighter? and have a cigarette lighter, expander To plug my Dash cam** A: Yes, you can plug this into your 12V cigarette lighter outlet for charging, and you can plug your dashcam into the B-130X. I run it with a DR750x Plus-2CH. I drive my car everyday and have yet to run this down to zero. My camera pretty much stays powered 24/7. I have the battery hardwired and it charges super fast (like fast) and every time I park after it's been fully charged, the app always estimates about 20-21 hours of parking recording. So it definitely lasts overnight for me until the next morning when I go to work. Once I'm able to actually have my car sit long enough for 20 hours, I will update if I actually get 20 hours of parking recording.Update:After having my car sit for more than a day. On a full charge this battery lasted for 24 hours in parking mode with a dual channel set up before completely depleting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for your BlackVue setup, expensive and doesn’t last as long as I’d like. *by J***. on July 5, 2024* Great to add to your BlackVue dash cam setup. I like that you can monitor the battery life in the app. Kinda expensive for what it is. And it doesn’t last as long as I’d like. For my use, it charges enough during my commute to/at/from work giving the cams just enough life to last overnight. Then coming to low battery the next morning. Wish it lasted for a couple nights without charging but oh well. Saves my car battery. I’ll add it makes installation of the system easier only needing to tap one ACC wire and a ground. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good build quality not good life *by L***E on July 2, 2024* A year and change later it does not charge above 84% hardwired on a 5 hour trip. There are probably 800 cycles on it (guessing) max. For a lifepo4, this is fairly poor performance. It should be between 2k - 10k cycles before it falls close to 80% capacity.
