Review: Well designed and good quality. Excellent lighting - I am completely satisfied with this lamp and just purchased a second one. I have it located on my sewing machine and use it probably five out of seven days. I appreciate its functionality, particularly the light intensity that is sufficient for even my most detailed projects. The light intensity is easily adjusted with a simple slide of a finger on the base. The kind/color of the light is adjustable from sunlight to bright indoor light and more. I also appreciate that the power button is located on the base and not on the cord. It is weighted to stay upright and in place, yet lightweight enough to reposition easily. The arm is adjustable ,flexible and easy to use. So nice to find a product that meets or exceeds its claim. I am confident the second lamp will do the same for our office area.

The controls are easy to see and are not overly sensitive; my elderly relative has no trouble using them. It was pretty easy to put together. It puts out a bright, wide ranging light that covers a wide surface area (and yes, the lighting color mode and brightness can be adjusted very easily.) Best of all, my relative says they went from being able to read only a few minutes at a time (eyes tearing and strained with other lighting) to being able to read for very long periods of time (with no eyestrain at all using this lamp.) Be prepared, the base is large compared to other lamps, but we are extremely happy with this product and highly recommend it!

**Q: The power "button" is always illuminated, even when lamp is off. Is there a way to turn "button" light?**
A: Not without unplugging the unit.

**Q: has anyone had trouble with the internal cord assembly being so long that you can't put the two pieces of the lamp together?**
A: Yes - at first it seems the cord was too long.  What worked for me is to "force" the cord down into the base.  I think the base is designed with room for the excess cord, it just felt like I had to push it a little hard than I was comfortable with.

**Q: I know it's 17.72" in height, but is that from the base to the very top of the lamp or to the bottom of the light? What is the length of the lamp?**
A: The 17 inches is from the desk to the natural height of the light when positioned horizontal for reading directly below. If the neck is straight, it's about 22 inches to the lowest edge of the light and about 30 to the highest.

**Q: Is this rechargeable/ cordless?**
A: Mine is not.  In most cases the pictures and description give you the features of the lamp.

I just purchased a second Lepower desk lamp for my office. I have low light vision problems and these lamps are bright enough to help me see. I have one on top of my desk and another on a side table workspace. They are easy to put together and have a great touch on/off and slide to adjust the strength of the light.
