My dog has dry food** A: The easiest way of giving this with dry food is to dampen the kibble slightly and then mix in the Keeper's Mix so that it sticks to the kibble. We recommend introducing gradually to the diet by starting with salt-and-pepper style pinches and then increasing towards the recommended amount. **Q: How long is this good for once opened?** A: There is no time limit “ once open” on the label. Just a best before( 20/04/24) and to keep in a cool dry place. I bought this just a a few weeks ago and clearly has a long b.b. date. I tend to go through 1 per month, so never really an issue for me. The contents are all herbs. Herbs stored correctly retain their qualities well provided they are stored correctly. **Q: Can i add this when i make a batch of food and freeze it? or do i need to add it fresh every day?** A: Good afternoon, Thank you for your question and we do apologise for the delay in response. It is always best to add in herbal supplements fresh everyday, however we would expect that there should not be any noticeable degeneration of loss of activity in the powdered products if they were frozen for a short amount of time, and we would suggest that keeping them for not more than a couple of weeks which would be a reasonable length of time. Without data to support the above we cannot be certain of this information but as plant material is regularly incorporated into chilled and frozen foodstuffs for both humans and animals we feel that at this time this is the best information we are able to offer. I should emphasise however that if possible it is always best to mix any supplements into the feed after it has been defrosted, but when this is not possible, then the above is the best advice we are able to offer. If so is there any difference?** A: I don't think Keeper's Mix is a probiotic, more like taking a vitamin pill for overall health I think. I have given it to my dog, smells fairly strongly but she ate it mixed into raw.
