Should say on the gun what type&sizes it will take. **Q: are the staples pointed or flat tipped** A: They are flat tipped with an edge on both sides. These easily penetrate thick wood. I have used them for fixing DPC to the top of heavy wooden frame prior to laying composite decking. Shouldn't have a problem with them penetrating most materials but not any metals.
