The larger of the two was very substantial and will make a real statement in the tank. The second, smaller piece is nice too and will either fit in my current tank or a second tank in the future. I was very happy with what I received ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful pieces ! *by on Reviewed in the United States September 26, 2026* These went into my 29 Gallon Fresh water tank. They sank almost instantly with a little nudge into the soil. Great sizes and would definitely buy more for the cost. Lots of natural hughes on the would showing its good quality as well! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful pieces *by on Reviewed in the United States February 27, 2025* The one piece is absolutely what I was expecting. Nice large piece. Beautiful grain/color. I love the shape and knottiness. The second piece was a little smaller than expected , but works well in my 20 gallon tank. I am waiting on some more plants to fill in the space. Overall I’m really happy with the pieces.I did boil the pieces first. I didn’t have a big enough pot for the large piece, so I used my roasting pan. I boiled it for 1 hour and flipped it, then another hour. I did this 3 times. The smaller piece was mostly under water each time, I did flip it as well to get the little edges. So it definitely got a good boil. Then I followed the directions on the little card that came with the wood and soaked them in a bucket of cold water, adding sea salt, for one hour. This did very little. I decided to soak it for 1 day or 24 hours. This pulled out more tannins. Then I changed the water and soaked for another 24 hours 2 more times. The smaller piece was ready after 48 hours of cold soak. It did not float. The bigger piece needed more time. After the 72 hours, I put it in place and anchored it with a netted bag of old substrate I was using to cycle the new tank. It took about another week for it to fully saturate and not float. A small amount of tannins were released into the tank water, so made the water a little dark, but not too bad. If I ever need more wood, I will order from them again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Jorewood Natural Aquarium Driftwood for Fish Tanks & Reptile Terrariums – Safe Fish Tank Decorations, Unique Twisted Branches 2-Piece 10-14 Inch Low Tannin, Easy to Sink - Fluval 12694 Plant and Shrimp Stratum for Freshwater Fish Tanks, 8.8 lbs. – Aquarium Substrate for Strong Plant Growth, Supports Neutral to Slightly Acidic pH - majoywoo Natural Large Driftwood for Aquarium Decor Reptile Decor 13-17" Long, Over 1.3 lbs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/499426147-natural-large-aquarium-driftwood-for-fish-tanks-and-reptile-terrariums](https://www.desertcart.us/products/499426147-natural-large-aquarium-driftwood-for-fish-tanks-and-reptile-terrariums) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
