I've noticed that if I try to apply this to dry unstraightened edges, a white cast appears on my dark hair, they don't lay down as flat, and sometimes, this stuff will pull my edge hairs out because it's too sticky to apply straight to dry edges for me. So wetting first helps to keep my edges on my head and also slick them down more smoothly lol Review: Tamed my edges nicely - First I want to say, this definitely works best on CLEAN hair. I believe that goes for any edge control though. If your hair is already greasy, it won’t work well. Now this edge control doesn’t have a really strong smell like others and it has a very nice hold. No flaking or white residue. Tie down hair for at least 5-10 minutes and you should be good. If tied down longer you’ll be good all day unless you sweat hard. Too much will make your hair hard and flaky. It doesn't seem to dry out my hair like most edge control products. It is a little container but again, you only need to use a small amount. It hold my hair all day until wrap it at night. If you use it daily it will cake your hair up unfortunately but it is not hard to wash out.
