The Tamiya designers work from measurements and thousands of picture references of the full sizes vehicles, including every detail and facet, to produce the most detailed models in this scale in the world. As with all Tamiya items, instructions are clear and concise, in order to allow the modeller to build a detailed model with relative ease. Ducati's 916 was developed using the latest racing technology and expertise, and became a very effective base machine fore these Championships. Its 114 horsepower, 916cc, liquid cooled L-twin cylinder engine uses a computer controlled fuel injection system and Ducat's traditional Desmodromic valve operation system. This valve system uses cam mechanics for both opening and closing the valves, while a conventional system closes the valves with springs only. This powerful engine is mounted in a light weight and extremely rigid, chrome molybdenum steel tubular frame. The rear swing arm suspension uses a mono-arm for quick tire changing during competition. Showa's shock absorbers and Brembo brake calibers are used at both ends. The 916 has a 2-stage adjustable caster offset system. Its aerodynamic cowl design is very distinctive, differing from other racer-replica bikes. The motorcycles in this series meticulously replicate a world of motorcycling in perfect 1/12 scale. Is it easy to put together & dose it need painting ?.thank you** A: Hi there , there’s a lot of pieces of that helps. You will need 20 colours which are stated in the description what colours you need , approx £100 in paint without brushes and you will need an airbrush kit £60+ . I thought it was expensive but once you’ve invested you can build others a lot cheaper . Hope it helps **Q: What colour paint and what cement would you need to purchase?** A: The best cement is Revell Contacta Liquid Glue with Professional Needle Applicator (available on Amazon).
