Review: Great honey screener! - Great quality strainer for all that delicious honey to be harvested. It stays nicely in the pail as we spin the honey, and the double screen helps to filter out all the things you don't want in your honey. Quality product, easy to clean and very durable. Works much better than a regular house-hold screener.
Review: Works great; from Hive to bottle - only filter needed - This is a very study and well designed sieve. I use it to filter honey from a radial extractor that goes into a container used for bottling honey. Since the extractor often slings parts of comb, this sits on top of the container and filters all honey prior to bottling. The top layer of sieve is more porous and the second level is a finer filter. It catches everything. The expandable arms make it a good sturdy fit on top of whatever container you are using and maintains a relative low profile to get under any kind of honey gate you have. The construction is of good quality stainless. I usually let the bees do the first level of cleaning (leave it by the hive for 24 hours) and then a quick soapy rinse and you are done until next harvest. My only suggestion is that if you are doing more than about 5 gallons (one hive), get two of these -- one for each 5 gallon container. That way when one is full, you can clean the sieve of debris while the other is doing its thing so you dont waste time on your harvest. Rotate back and forth as you clean them out to keep the honey flowing.

**Q: What is the capacity? How much liquid will it hold?**
A: We have not tested the capacity since the liquid simply pours through the mesh.Thank you!

**Q: The company seems to acknowledge this product rusts.  What grade stainless is this?  If it is 304 stainless, rust should not be an issue.**
A: This strainer is made from grade 304 stainless steel.  304 SS is very highly resistant to rust and oxidation, but is not completely rust proof.  Even the highest grades of stainless can rust in exceptionally humid and wet conditions (especially in coastal areas where the air contains corrosive amounts of salt), but the rust is easily cleaned and can be prevented by storing in a dry place.Thank you!

**Q: How do I clean the wax our**
A: I wrestled with this too:  I did not want the wax running through my kitchen drain.  I haven't used it since my first Honey Harvest (2014 October) but I recall I boiled water and poured it through outside in the yard.  Clean up in general was harder than the harvest.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great product that works just like it is supposed to...

I ordered this double seive set to strain the honey following extraction. It worked perfect. The only issue I had was that as wax particles built up in the sieve I had to temporarily stop the flow from the extractor and use a rubber spatula to move some of the wax around the first sieve to keep the honey flowing. This is not a flaw with the sieve and is instead just the way these things work. It fit the bucket perfectly and stained all the particles out of my honey. As far as clean up goes, when I was finished I just set both pieces out in my yard and within a couple hours the bees had cleaned up all residual honey. After that all I needed to do was wash it in some hot soapy water. I would recommend this product to anyone else.
