A basic pantiliner used to be all I needed and/or I used to be able to hold it until I got home or found a restroom.So that's where these Poise pads come in - and they've been excellent!At first I used some maxi pads from an old stash in the bathroom cabinet, thinking "what's the difference - a pad's a pad". Boy was I wrong.I ended up learning period pads work well for menstrual flow which of course is thicker and comes out slower than urine. But for anything more than a small leak of urine they are useless. Apparently Poise pads are somehow designed to absorb and hold liquid that is watery and faster flowing, i.e. urine lol.These Poise pads are a lifesaver. No more stressing about "leaking" while I'm out on foot, especially in residential areas where there's no public restrooms. Or hoping to find a hidden spot behind a bush or boulder when hiking once the need to urinate becomes unsuppressable.I have used about 60 of these pads and have had nothing but a good experience.
