This pen checks about every box. It looks nice with my Italian leather journal (maybe a little too fancy but that's okay), has a great weight to it, fits well in my hand (I have medium sized hands), and writes very smoothly. I shouldn't have to do too much maintenance. I purchased Hong Dian ink cartridges to go with it which comes out great. I chose the medium nib to look a little less 'perfect' so my writing in the photo is a little thick. It seems very solid.
