It’s beautiful and sturdy, once put together. I didn’t enjoy the putting it together part and had to recruit some help from my husband. Keep in mind you will need a flat head and phillips screwdriver to complete your build, along with utilizing the allen wrench they send. It’s about the size of my 2 1/2 year old and fits a ton of books! We will be using this for years to come!

**Q: How many storage cubbies are there?**
A: Twelve

**Q: We are at the last step. 4 long screws to secure base, but having trouble getting them to tighten? any tips? comments?**
A: As I recall, the base has a hole in it that lines up with the screws. Use the special tool provided to tighten. It is a bit awkward but I was able to secure it well.

**Q: What is the inside size of each little box where the books go?**
A: Don't have it here so can't measure it right now, but as a school librarian, it's big enough to fit several large paperbacks. Large hardbacks are a squeeze. However, don't buy this. It doesn't have bearings on the bottom, and once loaded with books, doesn't turn without a fight.

**Q: does it rotate easily when full?**
A: Yes, it does rotate easily when full.

This is a great bookshelf that holds a lot of books. Took a star off because the directions are horrendous. If you aren’t used to building stuff like this it might be hard to follow. We had to disassemble various parts three times to get it right. Very sturdy though once it’s built and perfect for our toddler to use.
