There has never been an issue with this product. It goes on smoothly, leaves a great base for gel color polish of your choice and a topcoat is fantastic. Now, keep in mind, a little goes a long way with the top coat. It does take a bit of a learning curve if you have not done gel nails before. The top coat is not like a regular nail polish top coat. Gel polish requires a top coat and it is on the thicker side. Brush as much off of the painting brush as possible so it does not get too thick in any one area. I personally purchase this duo pack yearly. I paint my nails about twice per month and it lasts me all year. This is a bargain compared to getting nails professionally done. And, I get compliments on my nails everywhere I go. So, most people don't even know I am not getting my nails done at a salon.
