I just took a stab in the dark and got a pair of these for my son's birthday. He lives in a place that gets pretty cold and snowy in the winter and he was always putting different shoes on depending on where he was. He wears these everywhere. He said they are very comfortable in the house, they keep his feet supported when he is working in the garage on a cold cement floor, and they even keep his feet warm when he goes out in the snow to get firewood. He absolutely loves them. And my grandson was always "borrowing" them too. So I got him a pair for his birthday a few months later. Now they both think that I am the best gift-giver which makes me really happy. Those were regular 'shoe' like slippers- being in Vermont, I wanted to try these higher, boot style ones. I liked the fact that they have more supportive removal insoles in them also.So far I am very pleased. They look nice, they are warm, and they are more supportive for my feet then other slippers, and they are holding up fine. I have them mainly for indoor use, but I have worn them out on my deck or for brief walking out in my yard.I wear a size 10.5 - 11 shoe, and I ordered the large size. When I first got them, they seemed a little tight on my toes, especially with socks on, which I how I usually use them. I was concerned that maybe I needed the X-Large size, and ordered a pair of those also. By the time those came, these were feeling better- I tried the X-large on briefly, as it was immediately obvious they were way too loose, and returned them right away. After having the Large size 2 -3 months, they have stretched just a little it seems, and now fit just right.After considering many other slippers, from Dearfoam and other companies, I am happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend them if you like this style. At least for having them during the winter so far, I wear these most of the time around the house when I am home, and put my shoes on only if going out!
