I used 2 bottles this time as I have medium length locs. The method I used was to apply the 2 bottles to clean, DRY hair. Leave it on for one hour, rinse with lukewarm water, then pour diluted conditioner over the hair (2-3 squirts of conditioner in 200ml of water) and leave for a few minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water again, put on a towel for 15-30 minutes, and finally blow dry hair on the lowest heat. I did NOT use shampoo during the application/rinsing process, but I washed my scalp with shampoo 5 days later. The colour has taken really well, as my hair was a medium brown. The photos don't do it justice, but you can see the purple shine in good lighting. My hair looks shiny and healthy and the colour has stuck. Be aware the colour can transfer onto pillow cases, etc. until the hair is washed a few times. It is a messy process dying locs, and there will be some cleaning to do after.
