In our experience, the Rovner 1RL (Dark) suits many playing styles and is both durable and affordable. There are many other options, though. **Q: I just bought a Selmer Super Action 80 Series 3 alto sax & the outside diameter of the neck measures roughly 5/8"'s. Will this mouthpiece fit it?** A: My son has an alto sax. (not sure of the specifics as it's currently not here at home) I was able to measure the outside diameter of the original mouthpiece that came w/the sax - It's about 7/8".
