The downsides are the lack of a row counter and the inability to clamp it down due to the shape of it's rounded bottom. Had to return an addi which was manufactured defective with catch points that would split yarns but my sentro does not split my yarns and I am loving it. So I removed them, problem fixed! Hate the plastic, but haven't found a metal one. So it does the job. Perfect for toy making, socks, and other small projects.
