Review: The only improvement I could suggest is some kind of trim plate for installation above a drop ceiling. In this install the customer wanted the TV located in front of the window. There was no wall to mount on and a drop ceiling. I had to construct above ceiling structure using 2x4 beams across the room stiffened with strips of 3/4 plywood. I put a 3/4 plywood platform on top of the 2x4s and through bolted the mount to that. I used a hole saw to gently cut a hole in the ceiling tile (by hand). Even though the hole was perfectly round and very close to the clearance needed for the pole to go through, there is no finish trim plate to cover this hole. I ended up going to Home Depot and getting a 1 3/4" plumbing eschusion to finish off the install. Unfortunately this pic doesn't show it. I was afraid these mounts would be to light gauge because of the low price. Was I surprised. Reasonable Heavy gayge steel way more than sturdy enough to hold these 50" TVs.
