I think that it is actually better than the Aveda one that cost almost 3 times the price! It flexes enough to not get caught but the bristles are sturdy and very soft tipped for your scalp. Gentle but sturdy, I've never had any problems with it. I always misplace brushes but the purple colour stands out so I can find it easy. I had an expensive paddle brush for 20 years before it had to be binned. This one is much cheaper but it's just as good quality. I prefer to use a barrel brush or a vented hair brush. **Q: Hi has anyone used this without getting for free or discount please and if it will last ect** A: BOUGHT mine July 2014 and it's still going strong. A bit bigger than handbag size, though. Quite a size. No bristles (or whatever you call plastic ones) have broken, either.
