Blisters. - The gel pads inside the fabric are small for UK size 12 feet. They do not cover all the ball of foot area. The pads also looks very thin, but at least they still help to improve the pressure in the covered area. Unfortunately, the unprotected area is still vulnerable to develop blisters (something I also wanted to avoid wearing these gel pads). I had one gel pads from a big chain of pharmacies and they were big enough to cover all that area and thicker. Definitely, these gel pads are better for smaller feet (I bought the UK size 7-12 version). Other issue is that the friction of the elastic bands has caused blisters in my small fingers and the middle one when there is the separation between the big finger and the others. Thus, I have to put some tape to protect my fingers. The irritation I originally complained about seemed to go away after a while, so if you can put up with them for a while, they seem to get softer. As a man with a size 12 foot, I'm at the absolute limit of fit for these, so take note men. They do the job they're made for & at a very fair price, but the criticism they've received in other reviews are correct. I couldn't wear them for more than a few hours, before the toe fabric rubbed & became too uncomfortable to wear. I'm mainly at home so I didn't need to wear with shoes, but if I tried slippers, it was just too tight a fit,so after a couple of wears, that was it .
