It is definitely quiet intense, really pushes and massages you and the warmth of the globes (4 little ones that change direction every often) is very good. The first day was extremely painful using the device but i just got on with it after a few cussing. However the second day i noticed that my shoulders and back was a million times better. I am so happy i purchased this. And i would definitely recommend this product. The spinning parts are hard so it might take time to get use to it. Also, to achieve the effect you’ll need to find the position in which the massage is not too painful or too gentle. I also tried it for my calves and quadriceps and it works! Four stars as it’s a bit hard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good substitute for the real thing *by A***G on 14 August 2016* I must admit I was a skeptic until I actually tried using this, but it really does do a great job of working knots out of muscles. I suffer with very tight traps and this does a great job of loosening things up in my shoulders, neck and top of my back. The heated option is a great feature too, and I can really feel the difference after 5-10 mins usage. I've found that I can use mine whilst sat on my sofa, leaning back against cushions and wedging the device between my back and the sofa cushions. I haven't needed to use the elastic strap round the back of a chair. Let me be clear - it's never going to be as good as the real thing, and it's also a little noisy, but it's so portable, practical and cost effective that it really does make up for it, and it really does do a good job.
