## Description

Product Description The first thing you will notice about these strings is that they go right into tune and lock in. Players say they are “so stable it is almost eerie.” Now you can stand and deliver in tune notes at lower pitch that are clean and clear. Expect more and get more. Change tunings and be surprised how DDT's lock right in. Be surprised how little adjustments you make. DDTs deliver far more than just heavy gauges. Drop with confidence, drop with accuracy. DDTs maintain their intonation at lower tunings far better than any other string we have ever played or heard. Designed over a two year build and test period to answer the needs of the dark side. From the Manufacturer DDT™ Drop Down Tuning Electric Guitar Strings maintain their intonation at lower tunings thanks to Accurate Core Technology™ (ACT™), a coated hexagonal core wire that locks the nickel-plated steel wrap wire in place to increase stability and maintains intonation at any tension. DDTs go right into tune and deliver clean and clear notes. Change tunings and be surprised how DDT's lock right in without constant adjustment.

Review: My favorite strings I’ve ever used - I swear by these strings. Been using them for a few years now. They’re consistently great quality, and long-lasting. They feel good, sound good, and almost never break.
Review: Great stability!! - I've got to admit that the hype regarding any new kind of string is always disappointing to me when it comes to the end result. These strings, however, lock it down pretty well. Sound: They sound great! Not as cutting as Hi-Beams, which is a shame, but they do sound great. The difference comes from a trade off for stability with the round core in the DDT's for brightness with the hex core in the Hi-Beams. You could do far far worse. However, the place where these strings come through tonally is with how tight and articulate they sound for rhythmic playing. Definition and punch for days on your wound strings and they retain a shocking amount of clarity should you feel the need to drop tune. If you do drop tune, do yourself a favor and try a set of these. Feel: They have a bit of stiffness to them, but in a good way. If you like to tune your guitar down (I play a half step dropped, Eb) but don't like how loose 10's or even 11's feel on some guitars... then this is what you probably want. They feel solid. If you're looking for something with a more lucid feel than what you're used to, these would be a step in the wrong direction. I personally like how they feel quite a bit. Function: They do exactly as they claim. They hold tune extremely well even right out of the packaging. There is a minor (and circumstantial) downside though; if your guitar nut is cut precisely to the gauge of string you play and plan on buying in the equivalent DDT line then these could be a bit of a snug fit. Sure, they'll fit alright, but my G string which, admittedly, already 'pinged' in the first place does so even more with the slightly beefier G string in the DDT set. That's not a fault of the strings, but a side effect I've experienced nonetheless. Verdict: I own roughly a dozen guitars and most of them are tuned to Eb and strung with DR Hi-Beams. Chances are these will take over half of my guitars which see more playing time and aren't going to miss the cutting edge from the Hi-Beams. They're fantastic all around.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do these hold up in low tunings like drop b?**
A: I am in b drop a. I have a locking tremolo and I use it alot!!!! These strings are incredible!!!! Exellent sounding highs and in your face lows!!!! I don't use anything else. My rythem guitarist (also with a floyd rose) uses 13 gauge ddts!!!

**Q: Is it 4.99 shipping per pack of strings. Or is it 4.99 per total shipment?**
A: Hi Todd, it probably depends on which seller you are buying from. I can only speak for us, we sell these strings for 7.99 w/ free shipping. Hope that helps! Thanks, Jason

**Q: Can i use these on an acoustic guitar**
A: Yes, but I would suggest using Phospher Bronze acoustic strings they would sound much better

**Q: Do these have a decent brightness to them?**
A: They are not overtly bright, but they do not sound like just BOOM BOOm either. These are my favorite strings for Drop tuning as they just work and sound amazing. Check out my music, Pain Cylinder or Elric Phares and you can hear them. I would endorse these any day of the week.Rock on my MetalHead brother. Peace.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ best strings ive tried for drop tunings only
*by E***. on January 28, 2024*

these hold tuning really well. but then again, the guitar i have them on has always held tuning real well anyway, but now its even more so, especially for dropped tunings... that being said, this is the first time i have used these strings. i am not a pro musician, but i understand what i like and so far, i like these strings. added just the right amount of heavy to the low end, but didnt muddy the high end either, like that happens when you use regular string gauges at lower and drop tunings. i wanna say these are a heavy bottom with a regular, or maybe light top end, as far as how they feel and sound. as of right now, these will be my new go-to for any time i need strings for lower and drop tunings from here on out
