Is there any way to adjust the contrast of the display? I can't hardly read mine.** A: No contrast adjustment that I know of but there is a back light. But there is a back light that might help. Check your battery. It is a bit sensitive to your viewing angle so hold it directly in line with your eyes. But I repeat, check your battery. **Q: Does this measure CFM and if so what is the setting listed as?** A: Short answer... sort of. You have to calculate to get your answer. Ft/min x surface area (of whatever port you’re measuring)= CFM. I fly model aircraft, and it's good to know what sort of wind speeds you're getting when on the field, as this will determine whether or not you can safely fly a particular model. The unit's a nice size, and easy to hold while wearing gloves. The fan is also a nice size and seems to handle small breezes as well as strong gusts, showing good level of robustness. The display is functional, but does have some nice touches, such as min/max/avg, as well as temp and a wind-chill indicator. The min/max/avg functions are a bit lacking, but, for the price, I'm not going to drop a point. There's also a nice tripod mount thread in the base, so you can leave it running on a tripod for other flyers (or anyone else) to view. If you need an anemometer for sailing, or other action activities, you may want to look for something waterproofed and with more protection, as this unit is definitely better for dry-land use. Overall, it's a cracking little unit and very easy to use.
