There were a few DOA only about 3 and even with that 23 were alive and healthy. Even had 2 burried shrimp and several babies swimming around as well. I didn’t notice them till I put them in a bowl to acclimate. So much cheaper than pet stores near me and these shrimp are so much bigger and more vibrant. They seemingly acclimated well (it’s only been a day). I would definitely buy again and plan on buying more in the near future. Definitely recommend buying from here. I was super skeptical about buying live shrimp on desertcart but they really delivered. It goes up and down but I try to keep it just below 7. If yours is high you can use alder cones and catappa leaves to lower it. They have tannin's, so your water will turn a slight shade of tan. That's a good thing, lots of healing properties. There are no ammonia, no nitrates and no nitrites in my tanks. I keep them vacuumed around once a week with a slight water change. If you have babies be careful, you will suck them up. Got 9 one day, lrl. I do test my waters every week as well to make sure the perimeters don't go out of balance. I use the API fresh water master test kit. I also keep record just in case I need to know if anything does happens to come up. I do raise more than cherry and blue dream shrimp, though. I also breed tropical fish. Oh I leave my tanks sit around 2 weeks before adding anything, no chemicals and test them every other day to be sure of the perimeters.
