They do have a secondary use if you’ve got an itchy ear, you can poke them in to cure that. Ensure that you do this with the plastic top and not the rubber end because if it does detach you are going to have to explain to A & E why are you doing that it in the first place as you should never insert anything in your ear. Although I've now replaced it with a more expensive stylus, it's perfect for introducing you on just how invaluable a stylus can be for note taking. The nib is soft, it feels like it's just not going to work but it does, flawlessly, I've written many many pages of notes with this stylus, drawn diagrams in meetings all effortlessly and with total confidence. I've given it 4 stars, one missing for 2 very very simple reasons: 1) The 'plug' that fits inside the earphone socket is a great idea but the cable just isn't long enough, would be nice to have a longer cable to I can both plug it in (so I don't lose it) AND write at the same time. 2) I think after several weeks of constant use, the 'rubber/sponge' may start to get damaged. Appreciate it's a relatively cheap stylus anyway so you can't expect tooooooooo much, but just felt that it could get torn pretty easily. Would definitely recommend this to anyone out there wondering if it's worth it or not.
