It plays 1-6 players in 45-90 minutes, and it features 86 custom wooden tokens and 232 beautifully illustrated cards. You find yourself in rustic, pre-modern Tuscany, where you’ve inherited a meager vineyard. You own a few plots of land, an old crush pad, a tiny cellar, 3 workers and the dream of owning the best winery in Italy. Using those workers and visitors, you can expand your vineyard by building structures, planting vines, and filling wine orders as you work towards the goal of owning the most successful winery in Tuscany.

This edition is the best, and it is finally a worker placement game that I actually like. I played the tuscany + essential and did not like that very much. It feels "finished", instead of others that feel incomplete and are shouting for expansions. Compared to other wine board games it is simpler than Vinhos and less cruel than grand cru. It actually teaches how wine is produced. For kids however it is not very spectacular, would play it with intelligent adults, that may or may not like wine. Oh and did I mention you can play it solo against the AI of the game?

**Q: Is this version in english? the last one i received was in polish (despite saying it was english when i ordered). thanks**
A: I bought one May 2021, and it turned out to be Polish instead of English. Why Amazon are repeatedly misadvertising this I don't know. I now have the hassle of resending this back to Gernany!

A: Yes definitely. I have played it both 2 player and 4 player. Would actually prefer it 2 player as 4 just adds time rather than a better experience. I don't drink wine at all but thoroughly enjoyed this game.

Fantastic Rulebook. Terms explained on back cover.These points are often overlooked but very important. Also: Art work beautiful. Solid game, scales well w/player count. You need to plan ahead and it really is a decent game, the best in years. This edition is the best, and it is finally a worker placement game that I actually like. I played the tuscany + essential and did not like that very much. It feels "finished", instead of others that feel incomplete and are shouting for expansions. Compared to other wine board games it is simpler than Vinhos and less cruel than grand cru. It actually teaches how wine is produced. For kids however it is not very spectacular, would play it with intelligent adults, that may or may not like wine. Oh and did I mention you can play it solo against the AI of the game?

This game has been a great success. It’s a great two player game and also multiplayer. The dynamic of the multiplayer game changes game tactics. The game itself is easy to learn - the first round can be a bit confusing but once you play the first round you’ll have picked it up. There is a range of different tactics to play so game play remains fun. I’d recommend this game.

Unlike me, my other half isn’t into board games at all. Her passion is wine. I therefore looked for a game which could work for both of us.- Viticulture hit the spot dead center! It’s quite original in its approach of playing years for turns, with each season allowing specific winemaking actions. If like us you are a bit surprised by the rules and don’t know where to start, there are great 5-minute tutorials on YouTube which make it very clear. After this we both enjoyed it and will be playing lots of it. The board, pieces and cards are superbly designed and the quality is excellent. This is the Essential edition, which means it includes a few of the improvements which came with the Tuscany expansion as well a single-player « Autumna » mode.
