For my wife, because she was wanting a little more meat in her diet and for me because I am NOT your typical male outdoor grill master. For those men or women who like to make a big production of doing the outdoor grill, this wouldn't cut it. I cooked a small steak for her and lobster tail for me in about four minutes and no turning required as of course it cooks on both sides. In addition, after the first use, and following clean-up I realized all I had to do was insert aluminum foil including a cupped space at the bottom and my clean-up chores were done after the cooking.In sum, quick, clean, effortless grilling without the smoke and smell from a charcoal (sorry purists, that is fine for you but not for me and besides the air pollution factor from outdoor grills is a major problem for the environment given how common that is). I placed my grill out on the deck so there was no greasy steam or smell in the house.Lots of people like the whole cooking thing and aren't bothered by the grease, smells, mess so again, this would probably not be of much interest to those kinds of chefs but for me and for anyone who wants to grill anything, from meat to fish, to vegetables, this works great with the least of fuss or time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the best George Forman grill ever!!! *by S***S on January 16, 2023* I really love this George Forman grill, I grilled 6 pieces of boneless chicken tenders on this very portable grill 3 times in in a row, with using various chicken seasonings, and boy did my grilled chicken tenders turned out great & delicious. So far I haven't yet use this grill to do steaks or fish, but I'm positively certain that the taste for both will turn out delicious, depending on what type of seasonings that I'll use.Also the temperature control was very easy to set, easy to clean as well, comes with an owners manual, and yes this grill is easy to use.But the easiest way to clean off the grill plates is to use a wet dish rag or a wet paper towel will do, while the grill plates are hot. And yes the grill plates are removable from the grill & dishwasher safe.And this is by far to be the best $50.00 I ever spent for this portable grill to say that I've purchased it used, I like totally got my full money's worth.Thanks Amazon!!!👍👍 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy clean up, great temperature control, optional incline raising. *by R***X on August 6, 2019* There isn't anything that I don't like about this grill. It's a little bit on the pricy side but it's a mid-range price point. There are other Foreman grills that are more but this one is definitely a really, really good one. Controlling the temperature is a huge plus, it's very easy to clean. I use just a cloth, to clean it as I want to preserve the Teflon for as long as possible. Also, the fact that you can optionally raise it so it inclines to drain fat away or have it flat is a great thing to, allowing you to cook other things that you might not otherwise be able to due to food sliding down too much, such as kabobs and such. It has a good amount of grilling space.
