I use it every day to seal up freeze dried or dehydrated fruits and veggies for smoothies, sealing up jars full of crackers, chips or whatever I seal in half gallon jars. The new one is even better than the original as it turns off automatically when it's done vacuum sealing. It usually takes 40-60 seconds to seal and turn off.
