This is expected but overlooked on how your pants will fit over them ...don't expect to wear you skinny jeans. The top of the toe box is rubber, it is insulated on the inside but also transfers cold. I actually ended up getting a pair of insulated insoles to put in the bottom to help insulate from the cold from the bottom. My toes did get very cold (painful cold) after a full day of snow sledding with the kiddo. The insulated insoles with three pair of socks seemed to keep it at bay. They are a bit heavy. (As expected). I wore them on the plane from Florida to Kahzakstan so I didn't get dinged on airport weight. Yes, they were hot but better than paying overweight fees. I would/will definitely purchase these boots again.
