I'm not a great fan of heavy colour polishes, I can never put them on well and, frankly, they go everywhere! The Essie Mademoiselle is a very sheer pink with a very high gloss finish that is impossible to mess up. It also looks great over a darker colour if you want to tone it down a little. This colour doesn't streak (I find all Essie polishes good for that) and goes on easily with a decent thickness. It also doesn't take too long to dry and a second or third coat will also dry well as long as the coat before is dry. The staying power of this colour is great, I can get a good week with two coats and it still looks fine. I have already bought another bottle, because I know I'm going to be using it both on its own and over darker colours. It's one of those beauty finds you're really glad to come across! It doesn't take too long to dry, though I did give it at least an hour before washing my hands or doing anything else. Of course, this is a regular nail polish so I'm sure it will get chipped etc but I don't think that is avoidable. I prefer painting my own nails though as it's more cost effective and better for your health (no issues with gel allergies etc.).
