I can't comment on the battery life but it seems to run a long time, and is easy to recharge. Haven't run the battery fully down. For the record, I purchased this item. It paired with my MacBook Pro quickly. The MacOS couldn't identify the keypad, and asked for a few keys to be pressed. That didn't register with the computer so it gave me the option of just saying "ANSI keyboard", which I selected, and all was well. I turn the unit off when not in use, but if you don't use it for a bit, it goes to sleep. I haven't had any issues with the computer recognizing it when I turn it on or wake it up. Using the program "PCalc" on the laptop makes for effortless numerical input and speeds up data entry. All in all I have had good luck with Macally products, and this one is no exception. If I later find issues I will amend this review; but as of now, at this price-point it is an excellent product, with a brand name I've come to trust, well made and not cheap "junk" like some of the cheapies.
