Sometimes "magnification" is rated in terms of the ratio of the focal length of telescope to a 50 mm lens. If your telescope has a focal length of 900 mm and an f-ratio of 10, (90 mm, f/10) then your "magnification" is 900/50 = 18 times! I know I forgot the t-ring when I got my adaptor..My telescope is the C8, so it should work.. let me know, but get the t-ring, it goes by camera model.. Fits perfectly with both the DSLR and telescope and allowed for accurate and sharp tracking. The only problem is when the shutter goes off, the telescope shakes, so need to set the ISO and shutter speeds very high. This is no fault of the adapter though !
