Review: keeps food hot - This is awesome for taking soups or hot oatmeal to work. I've even used it hiking. It's a bit heavy for that, but the seal makes it worth it. Doesn't leak. This thing can take a fall down a hiking trail with no problem, and my ramen was still good and stayed inside.

**Q: Is the inside slicksteel or a PTFE covering?**
A: Shiny Slicksteel inside…you can see in the pics that it doesn't have the matte gray nonstick coating. As far as I know, none of Zojirushi’s food jars have the nonstick coating that they apply in most of their thermal mugs.
