In use I found it excellent at keeping drinks cool and that is why I needed it. I did test hot drinks just to see how well it functioned as heat is harder to keep as long as something cool. I was impressed and even more so with the coolness of my water. My only wish is to have a slightly larger version which they don't do sadly in the double walled version.
