They did a great job and whilst it definitely helped with the main problem, it also shut out some of the ambient noise from the planes engine (my words not his) whilst still being able to hear us. The carry case is great, small and compact so can fit into a pocket in a bag or in a purse, or even a pocket without being too clunky or taking up space. He’s since worn them when we’ve been to big football matches or in really loud environments. He’s never once complained about them being uncomfortable, even after a 4 hour flight so I’d highly recommend. The great thing about in ear ear plugs is that they can still be used alongside over the head headphones so tablets and devices can still be used for entertainment.
