I didn't have any problems with it tangling, and for it being in the 30's both days I was in the field, the material stayed flexible and the tape was easy to work with. I gave it only four stars, because it would be nice to have it with 100ths, since some of the projects we work on require more precise measurements than 10ths, but for most things it does what it needs to.
