Review: this works great. i did drill holes for the set screws in my chainsaw as have many others in their review but I was already planning on that and it. i was cutting freehand and while i did a pretty good job this has helps immensely. if you want to try to mill some logs this is a great way to get started

I used it with a Husqvarna Rancher 460 chain saw w/24 in bar. The log is hardwood: pecan. I made the planks with this vertical chainsaw mill (you can find how to videos on you tube under "vertical chainsaw mill" I didn't use a ripping chain, might have made for cleaner cuts. My result was the rough cut bar top shown in the last picture. For the price, this is great. If you have to mill a lot of wood - not your best option. Be sure to really tighten the device bracket to the chainsaw bar, the fasteners vibrate loose, then you have to sift through saw dust on the ground to recover them.
